Ya’ll watch out…

Hey, everyone…If you receive a friend request from someone you are 99% sure is already your friend on Facebook, just check your friends’ list before accepting. If you still have doubts, message them and ask questions that only the true person would know the answers to. There are also alot of temporary profiles out there, just hanging around long enough to gather some contacts from your friend list (and they don’t have to see your friends list, they can gather from the posts, likes and comments on your timeline as well). I check out every friend request…if I see a profile with just two pics (usually a pic of some kind, and an enlarged copy of the first), no friend, about, etc info…I block them. I’ll also do a Google search, as well. When in doubt, message them and start asking questions, which usually throws them off, and they disappear. I love fish…but not catfish.

Why do some southerners eat black-eyed peas, hog jowls and greens on New Year’s Day?

I’m from Alabama…but I’ve never eaten these for New Years. Never cared for black-eyed peas or hog jowls, but give me a mess of greens and cornbread, anyday! While I’ve been in Japan, I do eat Osechi every New Years. What do you eat for New Years? Share in the comments, below.

Osechi 2017 (Traditional New Year’s Japanese Foods)

A new year has begun, and we get to enjoy osetchi again this year! The traditional osechi is very elaborate, and can be very expensive…depending on how it is prepared. We always just put together our favorite items, and we enjoy it. Here are some photos from this years osetchi, but click the link below to find out more!
